ABOUT ASNT, LLC CERTIFICATION SERVICES

With more than 22,000 members and certificate holders worldwide, ASNT is the largest technical society for NDT professionals. ASNT standards and certification programs, publications, conferences, education, membership and professional development programs are the foundation for expanding awareness of advances in NDT. Governed by a volunteer group of officers and directors, ASNT is organized by councils representing interests related to certification, engineering, research, education and section operations.

On July 1, 2021, ASNT formed ASNT Certification Services LLC, a not-for-profit limited liability company that manages and operates the Company’s certification and accreditation programs. ASNT Certification Services oversees all ASNT certification programs, the ASNT Employer Based Certification (EBC) audit program and the Industry Sector Qualification Program: Oil & Gas (ISQ – O&G). As a not-for-profit subsidiary of ASNT, it maintains its own policies, operating budgets and financial records while sharing ASNT’s staff and office space. ASNT Certification Services operates under a Board of Managers composed of members of the ASNT Board and members of the Society.

ASNT certification is the most widely recognized credential for NDT and has been the standard for the nondestructive testing industry for nearly half a century. Earning ASNT certification provides industry recognition, career advancement opportunities and confidence in your inspection skills.

ASNT’ s EBC audit program ensures compliance of NDT personnel certification and ensures proper oversight of NDT’s employer-based certification programs with ASNT’s audit program. Having an ASNT accreditation gives your company a competitive advantage, recognition, standardization and cost reduction through fewer site visits.

The ISQ program is an advanced practical qualification exam for the oil and gas industry. The program was created in collaboration with owner/operators in the oil and gas industry to provide hands-on qualification exams. The ISQ program’s standardized performance demonstration eases the burden on owner/operators and establishes an industry-recognized program that minimizes costs and redundant testing.

Accreditation

ASNT leads the NDT industry for accreditation services that focus on Employer Based Certification (EBC) and Authorized Examination Centers (AEC). Accreditation reflects your organization’s dedication to high quality standards. You become part of an elite group of organizations that prioritize quality for their customers.

NDT training courses

Courses are events where participants are instructed in the technologies and methodologies of a particular technical area and generally conclude with a student evaluation to determine the student’s retention of the material presented.

Examination delivery

To begin the process, the first step is to send your application to ASNT. Once you have been approved, you can schedule your exam at one of the many testing centers available.
